Why links are restricted
To keep scams out, members can't paste links, phone numbers, or app handles like WhatsApp inside posts and comments. Verified contributors and operators can include sources, but only in proper source fields — never hidden in the body text.
What the verified badges mean
A blue badge next to an author means we've checked who they are — usually a recognised contributor, retirement-village operator, or community coordinator. They follow stricter rules and their posts are reviewed.
How reporting works
Use the small flag on any post or comment. Two reports auto-hide content while our team reviews it. We respond within one working day, and you can always email us if something feels off.
Spotting a scam
Real people on Senior Moments will never ask you for money, bank details, gift cards, or to move to WhatsApp. If someone does — block them and tap report. We'll take it from there.
